The WVAS was founded in 1949. In the early years, the ambulance was parked in the basement of the Williamsport Town Hall. Early providers held a Red Cross Advanced First Aid card. Today over 90% of all our calls are attended by a paramedic.

Over the years our organization has expanded to meet the needs and expectations of our area. (Services) We strive to offer the best emergency medical and rescue services that are possible while still operating in a fiscally responsible manner.
