Weather Station Equipment Details
My
La Crosse WS-3610U-CH
Unit1 has been very accurate. It comes with a Thermo-Hygro Sensor which I have mounted in a Thermometer
Shelter near the NE corner of our home.
There is a wind sensor I have it mounted on a 25' pole(it would be
better if it was 33') and a rain sensor I have mounted on top of a privacy fence. The unit comes with a computer cable and Heavy Weather
software, but I also use
Virtual Weather Station software from Ambient Weather.
The 2nd La Crosse WS-3610U-CH Unit 2 also has been very accurate. I am currently designing and building a mobile mount for this unit. The purpose will be to gather weather data at other locations, either to analyze, and or to share live. I hope to have it ready in the fall 2009, It will be Station #5. In service now for testing.
I bought the Honeywell mainly because each of it's sensors are wireless and it has a UV sensor. I have mounted each sensor about the same as the La Crosse WS-3610 Unit 1. The TE923W has a remote control for the console, a USB cable to connect to my computers and very basic Software.
I'm using Weather Display v10.37 Software with it. I am not happy with the Barometer readings.

Currently this station is mounted on a 5' tripod. It has a large Rain sensor. I have the Wind sensor mounted at 25', it has very large cups and seems more responsive to all wind speeds, compaired to the propellers on the La Crosse wind sensors. The sensors infomation is sent to the console by a solar powered ISS and it has a superior transmission range. I added a Solar Radiation Sensor... All readings are very accurate. I am using the Davis Weatherlink 6510USB software.
